Ken Lord, MD
Dr. Lord is a Vitreo-Retinal fellow at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He recently completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of MIssouri-Kansas City. He attended Medical School at the University of Utah and completed a Preliminary Medicine Intership year at the Univesity of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Lord attended Southern Utah University where he obtained his BS degree. Dr. Lord has a strong interest in medical informatics.
Vinay Shah, MD
He commenced his American training by doing a post doc fellowship in vitreo-retina diseases and a surgical internship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. In 2006 he completed a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at The University of Iowa, one of the top ophthalmology departments in the world. Subsequently he completed his residency at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2009 where he was honored with being selected as a resident Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Dr Shah has over sixty five peer reviewed publications and book chapters in ophthalmology.Dr Shah is the Editor for the Retina/Vitreous Section of the “Eye Wiki” a new component of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves as the senior editor in international ophthalmology for "Pearls in Ophthalmology".
Rohit Krishna, MD
Dr. Krishna is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and Fellowship trained in glaucoma. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also served as Chief Resident. He completed his glaucoma subspecialty training at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miavmi, Florida. He was honored as a recipient of a scholarship from the Heed Foundation during his fellowship.He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Glaucoma Society, Missouri State Medical Association, Kansas City Ophthalmologic Society, and the Metropolitan Medical Society. He is actively involved in resident and medical student education and research at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City, Truman Medical Center and Department of Ophthalmology, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. He is Director of the Glaucoma service and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. Dr. Krishna has published book chapters and numerous articles in the areas of his expertise. He is a partner at Sabates Eye Centers and Medical Director/CEO at Epic Surgery Centers.
